A 10 × 10 cm natural slate with raw edges, and your photo laser-engraved into it: the portrait appears in light tones on the dark stone, with a look close to a charcoal drawing. The first name and a decoration (foliage, stars, heart) are included; a date or a short sentence can replace them.
You send a sharp photo and a first name, we prepare the composition for you: contrast, framing, text placement. You receive the preview by e-mail (the proof) and engraving only starts after your approval. A sharp, well-lit, face-on portrait gives the best result; photos of dogs, cats and babies engrave very well.
The slate stands on an easel, hangs on a wall or slips into a bookcase. It is cleaned with a soft cloth. Engraved to order in our workshop in Agde, ready in 24 h after approval.

Frequently asked questions
Which photo should I send for slate engraving?
A sharp, face-on, well-lit photo without filters. Files from recent phones are fine. Avoid blurry or dark photos, or ones where the face is very small: we warn you before engraving if the photo will not give a good result.
Is the engraving in colour?
No: the laser lightens the surface of the slate, the photo appears in light tones on a charcoal background. That contrast is what makes the object special.
Can you engrave several people or a pet?
Yes. A couple, a family, a dog or a cat engrave very well as long as the faces are sharp in the original photo.
How do I care for the engraved slate?
A soft cloth, dry or barely damp. No abrasive product and no soaking. Keep the slate indoors.
How does customisation work?
After ordering, use your private link to enter your text, choose a template and font or upload your files. The workshop receives your project and prepares the proof for you to approve before production.
What are the lead times and payment terms?

Can I return a personalised object?
Objects engraved or printed with your name, texts or photos are made for you: they cannot be taken back (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code). That is why you approve a preview before production. An object damaged in transit or not matching the proof is remade free of charge.
