Frequently asked questions
Do I need an 845.fr account?
Yes, it is free: it hosts your page at 845.fr/@your-handle. You create it before or after ordering; we can also fill it in for you from your details.
What happens when someone holds their phone to the card?
They tap the notification, your page opens in their browser. They tap "Add to contacts" then "Save": name, job title, phone numbers, e-mail, address and photo are saved to their address book.
What about iPhones?
iPhones since the XR read NFC simply by holding the top of the phone to the card. Older models and phones without NFC use the printed QR code.
How many cards do I need?
One per person is enough, since you keep it and the contact leaves with your details. Order several cards to have one in every jacket, or one for each team member (one page per person).
How does customisation work?
After ordering, use your private link to enter your text, choose a template and font or upload your files. The workshop receives your project and prepares the proof for you to approve before production.
Can I change the link later?
Yes. The support points to an 845.fr address that you edit from your account: new page, new menu, new link. The printed or engraved product stays valid, you buy nothing again.
What are the lead times and payment terms?
Secure online payment (Bank card, Apple Pay, Link, Amazon Pay, Bancontact, and more) or bank transfer on a proforma invoice. Ready in 24 h after proof approval and receipt of payment, then delivery by tracked letter or tracked parcel.
Can I return a personalised object?
Objects engraved or printed with your name, texts or photos are made for you: they cannot be taken back (article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code). That is why you approve a preview before production. An object damaged in transit or not matching the proof is remade free of charge.
